How do you check the official Page Rank of a page, I always seem to be using third party tools, but how do they get this info and how do you verify its official?

Yes Google toolbar is official. You can use it to know the true page rank of webpages.

every browser and search engine have its own official tools, so it doesn't matter what toll you are using.

As from some time google has offered its new google toolbar that provide the pagerank information for each of the page of the site. So not need for the other tool.

i mainly use Alexa toolbar

i use a couple of toolbars at the same time namely, SEOQUAKE and SEO toolbar
and these tools present the official values because these are not developed by some noob developers.
