I added a new Ad Group to a campaign that's already running. This Ad Group is going to take some time to get approved. But it will still run poorly before approval. Is there a way to pause this Ad Group while I wait for approval? So that my Ad doesn't run until it's approved?

I know that if you pause keywords it can bring the quality score down, so I don't want to do that. I'm not sure but I think if I pause the Ad Group that Google won't review and approve the Ads at all, right?
