Default Has anyone ever tried...

Has anyone ever tried using an adwords campaign to push your site to generate organic traffic? I mean a hard push. I've been spending about $25/day to generate traffic to a new site and was thinking of bumping it up to $200 on Monday, partly to see how my server handles it, but also if the surge in visitors will benefit me with my site rankings with google.

If the idea is, 'quality content will rise to the top' then this should help, especially if people bookmark or share the site, but will google see it as a positive also and bump my site up in the rankings with 8 times traffic boost?

For $200 a day, you could hire a pretty good SEO instead.

You may get some bookmarks and benefit that way, but not $200/day worth.

you've got everything all mixed up mate, at 20c a click you'll only see 1000 clicks for the day.

This is not server melting traffic, shared hosting might struggle but a "server" would laugh at this.

I would invest the money in quality content and go from there.....good luck

ppc will be great to check how traffic for certain keywords help, but I don't think it will help you with SERPs. You should also use a part of your badget for SEO.

But in any way having 'quality content' as your top priority will work

My budget would be $200, but I would earn money from it. Not enough to cover the adwords costs, but I wouldn't be out $200.

My adwords cost per click is below 20 cents. Trust me, an 8 fold increase in traffic will be a good test of my server and internet connection.

I have. I spent quite a bit this week on SEO services/directory listings. I also do my own backlinks, etc. This is just another piece in the puzzle and will tell me if I need to prepare a new server to do load sharing in the future.

Through PPC you can create traffic for some instance only, if you are looking for long terms results then you need to focus on organic ranking. its better if you hire seo professional to get organic ranking for your site
