How much do you think this site makes?

I like this site. It looks like it took a short time to create content for. Don't know about the design, etc...

There are not too many backlinks. It ranks 2 for "grow vegetables indoors"

Am I correct in thinking that the domain has a lot to do with that?

For instance, i could create a weak little blogspot/wordpress, etc... with the same or more content and be listed on page 8 or 88 of Google?

Exact match is very low which explains why it was so easy for them to rank.

getting a free hosted blog with exact match keyword would not be as much helpful as a exact match domain.

Exact global monthly search is only 390. And yes, an EMD is one of the factors that affect rankings.

Why not just go for a keyword that gets more searches?
