Default Google penalties for across domains

Does anyone know whether Google applies penalties across domains.

Let's say I own 10 domains. The WHOIS records show them as my name, and they are all hosted on one shared server, but as totally seperate domains without interlinks.

Lets say I use a whole load of spammy black-hat on 2 or 3 of the domains, but not the others. The others are clean, normal blogs with decent content.

Do you think Google could penalise the other "good" sites because they could think "Hey, this is the same owner so he's probably a bit of a scoundrel"

What do you think?

From what I have seen NO. I was using a stupid auto blog plugin a while back and even had sites blog rolling to other sites.

They started to get slapped after Panda and even before when the plugin broke and the guy didn't support it.

When one would go down even when it was linked to the others they would not go down. They went down randomly and some are even still page 1.

I am not an authority on this by any means this is just my own experience which I will not be repeating.

It has happened to some people but it wouldnt be an algorithmic penalty it would have to be done manually. So you would have to be really doing some shady stuff.

My only evidence for this is anecdotal. I had one site that I went a little bit too crazy on about a year ago when it came to link building, and it got sent straight to the sandbox. It was pretty awful, it still hasn't come back, but none of my other sites have been affected in the least.

It happens if you get caught doing this by Google. This means you need to get caught a certain amount of times before Google will take a more aggressive manner. If you are a bigger issue, than Google will take care of all your websites.
