About 6 weeks ago I signed up for a blog network service for three of my favorite sites. They're all doing OK but I'm not on page 1 for one I really want to push. It's a competitive keyword and my best position was 17 (335,000 exact searches!). When I signed up for the network that site slipped back to 24 before I even started, so I used that as my starting point (24). I'm allowed 20 posts per day so I divide them up among the sites; 10 for the site above and the rest divided among the other two. My posts are about 150 words (minimum 100) and maybe that's the problem? Anyway, the other two have been stable (on the first page) but the one I'm really working on slipped back to position 36 as of today. I planned on using the service for 3 months then canceling if I didn't see an improvement. Also, very few of the posts show up as backlinks when I do a google search of my site ("www.mysite.com"), some do but not the hundreds I've put up. The domains o9f all of these blogs seem to be pr 2 or greater and when I paste a portion of the posted text into google, google does find the post. So the post has been indexed but it seems most backlinks aren't being counted. Am I being too impatient, or maybe the posts are too short? Or is the problem with the blogs themselves? Anybody have similar experiences or suggestions to get these backlinks counted? |

After you do your post. You need to ping them and try to build some links for it. You can even go for blackhat way by going out with Scrapebox or AMR or anything maybe. Also on article size, its always best to get 400 words content. Best way is write sentence spin content of 450 words and use it in all domains.

Article writing in combination with document sites like docstoc.com are great for ranking purposes. I had some of my pdfs as uploaded to docstoc (PR6) and it gave me instant linkjuice.

Oh they are there. A backlink checkers not going to show you all of your backlinks. Quit checking them and keep building them. Youll then get more done and see results. Yes you are being impatient. I was to starting. Just keep building and remember to vary your anchor text as much as you can. Tell yourself nothing is going to happen over night. The more you worry about your links the less you will achieve in a day. You should be checking your comps. Instead. Your not trying to outrank yourself anyways. Hope that somewhat helps.

Please do not get impatient. Try to get quality links and also ensure about the content you're posting, are they quality content and can help you to to get some quality backlinks for your site? Check them all and work accordingly for few more days.

Doing a G00gle search for (www.mysite.com) will not show you very many backlinks. The big G has never shown very many links. If you had a unique text string in your article that was not spun and you searche for it in quotes you would find all of your posts that have been indexed. This leaves a foot print but it would show you that your posts are being indexed. I use a very popular blog network and my posts get indexed very quickly. I monitor my rankings with Market Samurai and they use Majestic SEO to track the number of backlinks and the number of links being reported in Market Samurai is also climbing regularly. Using g00gle to find your links will never reveal very many of them. |
