Default PR Backlinks: Is This Good Deal?

my seo guy said he came across an offer for High PR permanent backlinks for $385

included:
1 PR 7
1 PR 6
1 PR 5
19 PR 4
3 PR 3
1 PR 2
4 PR 1

is this worth the $385 dollar asking price or could i find comparable offers at a much lower price on the WF?

I think that seems a little high. Check at fiverr.com. You can get a lot of backlinks for 5 bucks. You just need to see what they have to offer. Some are good deals and others not. See what the people who have purchased are saying.

I'll show you 3 things anyone can do... That will get people to Fall In LOVE with Buying Stuff from You.

Personally I would not buy links unless they are ranked at least PR6 or higher. Your amount seems high for those PR links.

I would want to see how many links are on each of those pages, but if they are fairly low, I have no idea what the other people in this thread are talking about. That price for permanent backlinks that includes a PR 7, PR 6, and a PR 5 is a steal.

Now if the person is just selling the crap out of it and each page is going to end up with 500+ backlinks, forget it.

This is quite possibly the worst advice I have seen on this forum, in a very long time. Go from a PR 7 back link.... to fiver backlinks? No thank you.

pardon my ignorance, but how is this offer any better than the vast majority of backlink packages being offered in the WF for like $50?

How many OBLs are considered 'high'. I started a thread on this as well...

The backlink packages offered at WF are for the most part PR N/A/ pr zero. Unless you are talking about Home page backlinks but there a majority of those sellers put a bunch of links on the page and dilute it.

HUGE downside of buying high Pr links is that they have to be from people you can trust. They can put your links up for a short time wait until you could never get a refund and then remove them etc and resell the spots or as MikeF stated over sell the pages.

However theres no way around this risk unless you are buying the domains themselves.

Frankly if your SEO guy just came across those links I would want to know where and why he thinks they are reputable to do business with.

What's an acceptable amount of OBLs to not be considered too 'diluted' on PR5/PR6 blogrolls?

There's no way those are permanent links on good quality high PR domains like that...

Now if that's a monthly fee? Heck no... You can get way better value (PR) for cheaper
than that offer.

As mentioned in this thread, make sure that the overall OBL's are capped and
try and get some more information on how the overall network has been designed.

Some recent services are creating low quality networks with crazy footprints.

Make sure that this isn't one of them...

The $385 could potentially be a good price IF you find out more information such as:

  1. Do the sites have real PR (ie: not fake PR)
  2. Are the links permanent, ie: not going to slip off to a PR0 or PR n/a page?
  3. Are they contextual links or just links on footer/sidebar?
  4. How many other outgoing links exist on the page?
  5. Is the price one off, or monthly?

wow so many questions and variables in play here.

considering communication between me and my seo guy (he's Indian and his english is good but he misunderstands me alot) it really doesn;t seem worth it to send email after email to him to get my questions across.

i think i'll pass on this package plus $385 is a lot of money for me at this point just for some nice backlinks that may or may not stick
