Default adwords - trying this again.

so I am in the software niche, selling my own software on adwords.

Just wanted to get some feedback if I am doing this correctly.

I am targeting only phrase keywords. when I first started out last year, I mistakenly used broad matching keywords and on without negatives. I quickly learned that mistake because my account was depleted within a day.

so this time around I carefully created 3 ad groups with at least 10 keywords phrase match.

testing 3 different ads in each group.

I launched it 24 hours ago. for some keyword phrases I am getting very high CTR like 12~50%. However, I need more data.

Anyways, in total I have 3 clicks from very targeted phrases...however no leads....no downloads, no contact form.

Am I being too obessive? I've been spending the weekend trying to optimize my campaign and I am freaking out that I am not getting much lead from the 3 clicks. also only 3 clicks in the past 24 hours....does this mean I need to raise my max cpc bid?

it is sunday...and I am targeting USA.

Give it more time. It might be a trend that you get less traffic over the weekend or something. If you have the budget you can increase the max bid but that will increase your CPA when you do get a conversion

I wish you luck.

I've never had any success with adwords but anything is worth a try and it does give you a quick fix of traffic.

Wait till you have proper amount of traffic towards your website, than judge for any other issues. If you still do not get any leads or anything, than 2 things can be an issue, your add description is misleading or not landing on the exact product page, or your website itself does not give creadibility to the website.
