Advice about KWs and EDMs ?

Hi fellow warriors !
I dessperately need your advice about my keyword research.

I was able to find 2 good keywords (in my opinion).
Lets say that the one is car speed, and it has 2900 exact searches, and ppc for this is 4.17 $.
The second is car price, and it has 1900 exact searches and ppc 1.71 $.
I have the third keyword example: motor vehicle repairing guides, lets say it is a slightly related to the two above, and for it i have 5400 exact searches and ppc is 3.37 $.
Is it better for me to go to the domain www.carspeedandprice.com, or I should go to www.motorvehiclerepairingguides.com ?

For the first two kw combination, there is no edm in google, also there is no edm for carspeed.com nor for carprice.com .
For third , motorvehiclerepairingguides edm also doesn't exists.

Can you please help me in this dilemma? Or should I say trilemma?

I caution you on this one. It doesn't seem to me like people are actually searching for "Motor Vehicle Repairing Guide." That phrase seems a bit tortured.

Of course that I didn't wrote the right keywords here, these are just examples to be easier to understand.

Glad you understand I'd go with the one with 5,400 searches (motorvehiclerepairingguides). Bigger is better when it comes to search volume, IMHO.

Ok, and I have a great idea then ! Since the first 2 kws are somewhat related to this last combination, I can make a 2 pages about this first 2 kws: car speed and car prices. I think that this would be very good, of course I wouldn't be on the top for car price and car speed, but I think that I will also get a decent amount of visitors.
What the other warriors think ? Come on, I need an expert opinion on this !

I'll keep it short, sweet and simple:

- Chose any domain (preferably the one with the higher search volume)
- Use the other 2 keywords and create pages for those targeting each keyword
- Find more related keywords and create pages targeting them
- Interlink your related pages using keywords as anchor text
- Build quality backlinks
- Rinse and repeat

That's the barebones explanation and really all there is to it.

But I think I will go to the 4th keyword phrase, it has 14.800 exact searches, and cpc is 1.90 $. And this phrase is related to all of 3 from earlier examples.
I smell money !

Where did you get that CPC?
From the contextual tool?

From adwords keyword tool. Yes i know, i get only 50 % of those, or so.

there is one number from adwords kw tool that shows up next to the list of KWs and says CPC
THAT NUMBER IS NOT ACCURATE, that number is only the number for adwords ADVERTISERS not ADSENSE account holders

YOU MUST look at the contextual tool
THAT NUMBER IS THE NUMBER FOR ADSENSE

thats why I asked did you get this from the contextual tool
they are both in the adwords tools

one is useless the one that comes up by the list of kws, under CPC
if thats the one you are using, think again

If you think I am making this up? Then ask the other board members or go use the search tool on this forum and enter "contextual tool" and it will explain what I am talking about

For example the CPC that comes up on the normal kw list for many words is 50,60 100 dollars per click
thats ridiculous Google would never pay that much

the highest listed payout on the CPC for the contextual tool is about 6 dollars, thats the highest Ones I have seen,

there is sometimes a ten fold difference in the real ADSENSE CPC on the contextual tool and the CPC that shows up next to the list of KWs

But, how do you explain that some people get a 10 $, or a 15 $ for a single click?

I have heard as high as 10 dollars but its rare
the highest I have seen is 6 but thats only for the kws I have searched. There may indeed be some out there that pay as high as 15, but there certainly are not ones out there paying 50,60, 100, 110, which is easy to find those if you use the CPCs that show up next to the kw list. (the wrong CPC data). This wrong CPC list, is also the list that people routinely publish and say HEY LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY YOU CAN MAKE WITH ADSENSE............HIGHEST PAYING ADSENSE WORDS..................................

all I am saying is do not look at the CPC next to the kw list and use that number , its not accurate

if you use the CPC on the contextual tool that is 1000 times more likely to be close to the real CPC

I have seen keywords for much, much higher on the contextual tool, but they were keywords that were ultra-competitive (insurance and medical niches).

The contextual tool is great and appears to be the closest thing to estimate what you could receive per click (after you subtract roughly 32% for Google's share, of course).

Heck there may be ones for 15, 20, even 25 on the contextual tool I am not saying there are not , I am saying the highest I have found in niche is about 6

as long as you are using the correct tool, The contextual tool, you are good to go

its the people using the other CPC numbers thinking they will get 60 to 100 dollars per click that are in for a rude shock.

Well, according to contextual tool, cpc for my phrase is 2.16 $. I think this is good.
When I put my kw phrase into Google, it gives me a number of 47,600,000 results, and with quotes 362,000 .

And this is a picture from Traffic Travis about top 10 competitive pages:


I hope that I will outrank that pages and come to page number one in about 3-4 months.

And then we will talk about a real money here !

What do you think warriors, is this ok or what ?

Edit: I forgot to mention that none of those top 10 pages have an EDM, I will have it for my page, because it is still available, and it is a .com domain.
