I'm looking for everyone's opinion on using linkilicous(or any backlink pinging application) to index my backlinks for many different "money" websites... I've build many link wheels and web2.0 properties and I added them to linkilicious but I'm not sure if I should change the default setting of 40 pinged links per day? Again, these are not profile/xrumer links, but actual 2.0 pages and articles that link directly to my 'money' sites. Is it safe to just have them all pinged? I probably have 300 per website to ping... Some questions: 1. Is the normal best process to create links and then immediately add them to linklicious? 2. Do you normally wait a few weeks after creating backlinks before trying to ping them? 3. How many links added to linklicious per day is too many for a site? I have a mixture of new and old sites, from a month old to a few years old... Also, I just wondered something.... Should I instead be creating profile/xrumer/scrapebox links TO these 2.0 properties and THEN add those links to linklicious instead of adding the 2.0 properties to linklicious? In other words, Is it better to blast xrumer/scrapebox backlinks to my 2.0 properties/articles and then add those thousands of xrumer/scrapebox links to linklicious?

^^^ This guy is right! I was about to say the same thing. I use scrapebox for this, and it works out fine for me. I have never pinged anything.

I usually ping backlinks on forums that are ranked low. You probably don't need to, but it doesn't hurt.

| so what are you saying? You use scrapebox to build thousands of links to your 2.0/article pages? And then you never ping the scrapebox links?

As for me manual pinging is the best when it comes getting traffic and linking back to your site, it not only brings traffic and backling to your site but carriers original content as well.

Do not over ping, the powers that be are looking at everything, everywhere, all the time. Think of it as big brother is watching your site and if you go to various automation services, don't think it will not be picked up and penalized. Carol |

Totally agree with John Alves, no need to ping. A little won't really hurt anything, but if you are constantly doing it you could potentially cause problems. Anything that is done overkill with Google now days can get some negative results or response.

Pinging about 200 links linking to diverse websites would look normal .. but if you overdo it Google may discount such links or even penalize your sites.

I don't ping my links as build a lot of links at a time and I don't want to notify Google. Building a ton of links and then pinging them is like saying hey Google come see me build a ton of links in one day to me fresh site less than a week old. It's not natural and Google will see it. Instead just build your links and let Google pick them up on their own. Your links will get indexed in time and you'll thank yourself for the patience in long run.

If you're building backlinks that need to be pinged or require extra juice to be crawled and indexed, you're building the wrong types of links. Try something a little higher quality that will be found and crawled on its own with no additional boosting.

I would have to say that letting Google find your links manually is the best way to get them indexed... not the fastest but at least you know the bot found it all on its own and I bet the search engines have an algorithm to relate that to juice passing. I would be afraid that if I pinged all my links they may go into some sort of sandbox for link juice...
