Is yahoo Directory Still Worth???

Nowadays buying links from yahoo directory is worth or not????

According to me its complete waste of time and money to submit your site to yahoo directory, its better if you can spend that money on other promotional activity.

Yeah, it's still wroth, it's better instead of submitting 500 free directory and getting approved after 3 month.

Directory are a waste of time nowadays, I would not spend money on buying a directory link from Yahoo.

Does it help? Yes. Is it worth the enormous yearly cost? No.

According to matt cutts , some directories are worth like yahoo and business and dmoz. so if you have good enough budget then go for it or just try to do other SEO activity then directory submission.

You should try SMO, it will add some reputation of your website

If the site in question is (or has the potential to make) making more than $5,000 per year, then yes I'd say it's worth it. It will pay for itself and then some.

As for the quality of the link itself, it is still very effective. However, I never buy it for categories which are very deep.

I almost always see massive improvements in serps after using it. I have done two tests where I let the link lapse by not paying for a second and third year respectively. In one instance the link was removed, but the website hasn't lost placements. In the other case, Yahoo kept the link and even though I stopped paying.

Recently tested it on one of our sites and it has done nothing money wasted in my opinion. Look to spend the money elsewhere

You don’t buy links from Yahoo directory, you submit your website to Yahoo directory.
Submission to Yahoo directory is paid but will give you credible backlinks and hence boost your SERP’s
