I pay my filipinos $0.60 an hour to do the exact jobs you are talking about but that is probably too low for your friend. But you could also offer them cash for how much extra traffic they bring and then they could earn a lot more from it. |

I dont know how much that is in USD Its ok - I dont want to pay him more (at the same time i dont wanna exploit). I have decided to pay per job rather than per hr. Example pay x amount for articles and x amount per 50 social bookmarks etc Regards, Ashish |

Its better you give him a task and when he completes it, you pay him for that, rather than per hour.

I agree with NestZone. Better to give him money for the work done. Like let's say $50 to do everything you've mentioned. It's kinda hard in my opinion to hire someone who is a friend. Doing that, will get you conscious of how much you'll be paying. So I think paying in bulk amounts or projects, will do better.

Since s/he is a friend, you may pay him the minimum wage in your country per day. Or try to ask on what's s/he's expecting, if it's okey with you then go with it. Just my opinion.

Personally I would just keep him as a friend, once it starts turning into a business relationship your his boss and could be a recipe for disaster in regards to your friendship.

Pay per job, base amount based on your area.
