For a WOW site, can you use wordpress?

I really want my new niche site for which I own the product to have the WOW factor
I want people to go to the site and say, damn this website is really cool

can that be done more easily with html coding or can wordpress handle a site like that

you know what I am talking about some of these sites with flash menus and bells and whistles that make you take a step back

I do still want it to be able to be ranked high also, so I need that internal silo link structure capability etc etc also

Of course wordpress can if you know what you're doing. I prefer using Joomla or Drupal for the "WOW" sites lol.

Wordpress definitely can, depends on your abilities, if you're not sure if you can do it, hire someone on odesk to make you an amazing site for $100 bucks

Honestly... If you can make Joomla pretty you can make Wordpress pretty. lol

It's probably easier with Wordpress because it's fairly easy to make custom templates. So yes, you can make "WOW!" websites with WP.

In the long-run you might want to stick with Wordpress though, Joomla becomes a pain in the you know what when your version becomes outdated (read: hackers, crackers, and phishers delight).

It doesn't matter what platform you use, it's all html code in the end.

Do a search for premium wordpress theme.
