Arrow Fiverr LinkBuilding Case Study - From Nowhere to Page 1

Hi All,

I have been building Niche adsense sites for sometime now but have never really tried to rank a site to page 1 using just fiverr gigs. So here is my attempt to do the same (since another thread related to this topic died).

I will be revealing everything about the site except for its actual URL.. I'll also share which gigs I am ordering on fiverr and the niche my site belongs to.

To begin with..

The site I am using for this experiment has an exact match domain with the primary keyword having 2900 local(US) exact searches and 4400 global exact searches per month with a CPC of $1.33

Every week I'll be ordering 2 fiverr gigs and apart from these gigs, I may use some free tools to help me.

$100 Project - So far, $25 have been spent to build the site(excluding domain name cost) so i'll spend another $75 on fiverr gigs and see how far the site goes.

Eric

Bookmarking this thread to follow it.
I'm using Fiverr too and have found some good backlinking gigs there.
Waiting to see how the last set of links I bought work.

Should be fun to follow. My only issue with Fiverr is the JUNK that floods it. There's a few good gigs. But it takes some searching.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of gigs you dig up. Maybe it would be helpful if you posted stats on your top 10 competition too?

Perhaps an attic I shall seek.

I have not used fiverr for any SEO until today. I ordered a report with details of the compeating web sites. The promise is they will outline what I need to do to rank higher in Google - or improve our effectiveness at least. Don't know what they will send, but I suspect it may be a MajesticSeo report or a spyfu report.

I may order up some backlinks or social media links to fill in some SEO holes for that site, but I will be watching how this unfolds for you for sure.

How do you track your progress?

Feel free to use the rank tracking tool in my signature.

That way you can set up couple independent tests and track the progress. Just because someone on fiverr told you they built a ton of links doesn't mean it was helpful (or that it even mattered).

I've seen some link reports, some of those guys don't care if they spam xxx forums, most of them don't care whether the links they make get crawled / indexed.

Having said that though - there are some good providers out there. Good luck!

Not much point in my opinion to buy fiverr backlinks for an EMD with 1,900 searches a month. It should be a piece of cake to rank #1.

Didn't someone do this experiment couple months back - title was something like "I dropped $100 on fiverr, now I'm going camping."

Will try to search for it but WF search function is crap as we all know.

Would love to see which fiver gigs you buy...
Also make sure that you don't keep purchasing the
same Fiverr gigs over and over. The overall effectiveness
will likely be greatly diminished since you'll likely receive
the same links over and over.

Hope to see some positive updates from you soon...

Yea there's a lot of junk on fiverr and I have used it on and off for quite a while but now i'm going to use all the gigs I have ever used and possibly a few more (if there's budget) and see if 1 site can be ranked using just these little bad boys!

Dude, your rank tracker seems interesting but I've made my own seo rank tracking script that works just fine for me. I dont have to pay a $59 per month to track my 1000 keywords

Yes, strictly for backlinking! What else do you need after your site's been done?

Spent $25 to get the site done - 5 articles of 500 words each and getting the site setup with wordpress and various other plugins etc.

Also what i have found at Fiverr gigs is that using (and risking) NEW gigs works sometimes very well.

Gigs with huge usage (old) and good review maybe are goog but over-used.

I think most people dont know how to use fivver effectively and then complain it doesn't work.

I have been playing with gigs on test sites and the results are decent..We even found a few gigs that were white hat and effective enough to incorporate into business use.

People need to be careful as I saw someone blast out 20,000 links to their site and then complain that the site was slapped...what did you think was gonna happen?

When I first started learning about affiliate marketing, I purchased a fiverr gig for a ton of backlinks and it backfired on me. The site was too new and I purchased too many backlinks.

I'll use fiverr again, but next time I'll wait until the site has aged a bit and get fewer backlinks in smaller chunks at a time.

One has to diversify the links properly and build out the links gradually so that your site doesnt get sandboxed or de-indexed.

Here's what I recommend doing...

Submit your site to Stat websites for some quick links.
Submit your site to Social Bookmarking sites.
Submit a video to video sites and get some backlinks.
Build a web 2.0 broken linkwheel.
Submit articles to article directories and link to them linkwheel properties.

These should get you ranked among the top 100 in Google pretty soon.

For my niche site - I have submitted my website to about 40 stat sites
using this tool...

profitinstruments.com/quickindex

Thats what I did last week, and today I have purchased this gig..

I will do Social bookmarking submission 200+ sites Including Top 50 sites Like stmbleupon, digg, delious, reditt etc for $5 on fiverr.com

Will purchase another gig very soon and let you all know.

The term linkwheel came about because you would link one web 2.0 site to another and so on until the last site linked to the first, closing the wheel or circle if you will. Since these got seriously abused, and the links discounted, people started linking the web 2.0 properties in a much more random fashion, ie. the broken linkwheel.

Not sure what are you referring to.
  • he needs to know which fiverr gigs work and how well for his keywords
  • I didn't say anything was free, did I?
  • there actually is a free plan, allowing anyone to track 20 keywords
The link to the free plan is on the pricing page, bellow the three paid plans that have a trial.

Perhaps I misunderstood what you said, but I was just trying to be helpful.

I really like Fiverr. I don't know why so many people assume, if it's cheap it must be crap. In my opinion, that's far from true. The price isn't the only indicator of a products value.
Few days ago I ordered 20k backlinks on Fiverr. The seller was a polite guy and he did the job very fast. That's all I need, so I'm happy.
Sure I could have done it by myself, but I was busy with other stuff.

The fiverr marketplace is just like any other. There are products and services worth it and others not so much.

Fiverr is cool. $1000 a month of fiverr gets you 200 gigs. Thats a lot of activity. I have a lot of pages to market and this allows me to cover a lot of ground. I am actually of thinking of hiring someone to manage my Fiverr account.

And FYI, there is no right answer in SEO. Its like shooting a basketball. You will hit some and miss others no matter how good your intentions are. If you can improve your form, aka your strategy, you can increase you shooting percentage.

Take this for an example. I have a site that is total crap in regards to unique content. (or content at all, its pure advertisement) The site is a PR 6. Its a total joke! My partner and I made it in 2 hours between video games and wake boarding on a summer day. We did it to try a new strategy. It happen to work out incredibly. Then we tried that same strategy on another site and nothing happened. And again nothing happened with 3 additional site using this stragey. So we figure that stragey will work once in a while if you get lucky. Not worth pursuing.

On the other hand, we have spent over 15K developing a site with mounds of quality content and data. We did all white hat methods.. And guess what! We got sandboxed. From 1000 visits a day, to 10. WTF??? Left scratching my head as to WTF went wrong here.

The point is that internet is not black and white. There are so many factor that we only can guess and test. The more methods we test the better we can zero in what is working. Fiverr is a great way to test methods. If there is a link building software you want to buy, chances are there is someone on Fiverr you can test it out with. (like SeNuke, costs $147 a month or you can pay $5 for an SeNuke blast)

Ya dig.

Noob here. So I have a site which I created about 2 weeks ago.

Since then I have submitted a spun article to different article sites. Done some of my own social bookmarking (google+,reddit, delicous) and I just use the directory tool from profitinstruments (thanks for that).

Should I now consider using a fiverr gigs such as the 5000 high pr backlinks in Nigels post? Or is my site to young for that sort of number to be picked up and could end up doing damage? What is the normal period when you can expose your site to large amounts of backlinks?

Interested to see results. I purchased a top rated backlinking gig on fiverr, complete with excel spreadsheet. I did random checks on the links from the report and they all seemed legit. Used my normal process for getting links indexed, but two weeks later and I am not seeing a single backlink as indexed so far as I can tell.

I haven't tried many Fiverr SEO gigs, I might try some of the suggested ones on a test site. My favorite ones are social marketing gigs.

Any Noobs out there just so you know

Treat SEO like a long term relationship or marriage

Wam Bam Thank you man won't cut it anymore in this new
Google panda landscape. Certainly not in the money niches.

Slow and steady wins the race

So don't think you can have a one night stand with a girl then live
happily ever after. On average you will fail.

In context for this post

I used Fiverr for a couple of my sites. I consistantly bookmarked over
three months using a variety of services like Socialadr, socialmonkee,
backlinkskingdom and onlywire.

I then combined that with Fiverr gigs I mention above in this thread
ordering 2-3 gigs per week for 3 months.

Only after 3 months of dating that girl became my wife and my sites
finally started making $200-$300 per month. Only 2 sites out of
100 sites made me money. Yeah that sucks but I'm getting better at
building them and I now know what works.

So be prepared to grind away if you go the SEO route or go back to your dayjob

Nigel
