Hi there, I have a well established UK website (2 years old) that is ranking well for the main keywords in the industry in terms of Google UK. So: 1) domain is a .co.uk, and 2) Hosted in the UK However, I have a large amount of customers from both the U.K and the U.S so I'm wanting to rank for my main keywords in google global searches as well (well google u.s basically). So want to know: 1) What is the most straight forward strategy to go about doing this? 2) A new domain? a redirect? hosted in the u.s? I need some advice on the best way to go about this! Thanks! |

I don't think you can do that very well with a .co.uk domain because thats a really important identifier for your target audience from Google's side, but I may be wrong. One thing you can do is in Webmaster tools, select your target country. Btw, how are you currently getting US traffic? You should ask yourself that. Also when making a thread use proper grammar, I thought you had advice for me before clicking... |

If I were in your shoes, I would get a separate .com/net/org and set it for US in webmaster tools. Even setting your current domain for US in GWT is probably not going to help as far as ranking goes in the US.
