Default Linkwheel / SEO question. What are your thoughts? No one seems to be answer this!

I've asked this question on other forums with little to no feedback. Lets see if WF can pull threw!

I've been working on some Link wheels. My question is if I am creating web 2.0s from hand via the same account doesn't google see that I am posting all these web 2.0's via 1 i.p. address? Or that there are a bunch of webpage from 1 hosted account?

Say for instance I post 100 articles on hubpage or squidoo ( with in context links ) all from 1 account. Does that look the same to google as 100 different people posting 1 article with my link in it?

Furthermore, what if I have a bunch of wordpress blogs, that I host ALL under 1 host, doesn't google see that all these blogs are owned by the same person and lessen the value of all the links? Or no?

Thanks for your thoughts!

If you are creating web pages on Web 2.0 websites Google will not be able to gather the users' ip data because Google does not have access to each Web 2.0 website's backend.

Web 2.0 websites are hosted on a specific number of servers. Your web pages can be on the same web server, however, Google can not tell whether your website is on the same web hosting account. They can however tell whether or not your web pages are hosted on the same dedicated ip address.

Google will not be able to tell if you have posted on the same account, however, Google may be able to recognize the usernames of your account and link all of your posts by username.

One way to bypass this is to use different usernames. I know ezine lets you use different pen names. Not a lot of other websites do this.

Google will be able to identify website ownership by using WhoIS information. If you have active WhoIS privacy enabled for your domains, Google will not be able to tell whether or not the websites are owned by the same person.

However, Google can also identify websites under the same IP address. So if you are hosting all of your wordpress blogs in one hosting account and that hosting account has one ip address, then yes Google will be able to tell. However Google will not assume that the websites on that IP address is from the same owner. The reason being, many web hosting companies use the same ip address for multiple web hosting accounts. Many web hosting companies host their clients on one primary ip address which can also be the server's main ip address.

I think many people miss the point of proper backlinking.

You should not worry about whether or not Google can identity this or can't identify that.

In order to build a proper backlinking campaign you have to understand how "organic" backlinks are built. You have to understand how websites get organic backlinks. Once you understand that you can duplicate that process and rank high in the serps without having to worry about Google penalizing you.

By organic, i believe he means Natural backlinks, over time. Not ramming 1,000 backlinks overnight into your site.

(Eddie, please correct me if I'm wrong )

The problem with most linkwheel activity is the over reliance on a narrow range of source websites. Too many people build linkwheels based on free properties. As previous posters have pointed out, this would hardly look natural.

Just as Josh explained, organic backlinks are natural backlinks. These types of backlinks are created by your website viewers. They see something interesting on your website and they tell others about it by linking to your website.
