Default Amazon sites with exact match doman

From what I heard and some of my personal experience sites with Exact Match Domains perform better. I also saw in threads that people use that strategy when selling physical products. I heard that you might be asked to remove the site if it uses some company's name, so I was wondering how people go around that, especially if they use Amazon?
thanks if advance

Don't used trademarked names/domains with trademarks in them - try to be generic.

any kind of trademark word is not allowed in domain name, eventhough you can use theme as a keyword in a post or page.

You could also just do it, cash in, and give the domains back to the trademark holder when they send you a C&D letter. You may get away with some companies since you are making them money. Oh, and no one's doing this, this is a wide open opportunity

i had bad experience, if amazon somehow find it that you are using trademark domain that case they will bend your account.. I am sharing this cause in starting i did mistake myself and build several websites for my clients, i was not aware about this and as a results some of my clients lost thier amazon account...and you wont believe but i came to know about this rule after building serveral website...so friend please be careful, and if you write amazon support team they will confirm the same..
hope this helps.

I got one domain with a very popular brand name in it, I got it before I found out about Amazon rules, but I found another site that provides affiliate opportunities for my product, it's been a week and my site is ranking on number 10, but I haven't gotten any letters yet from the company so I'll just wait and see. Thanks

You are playing with fire then stay under the radar.

When they eventually found your site name using their trademarked names/domains, your hard work will result of a C&D letter.

Great idea.

Don't ask a lawyer or see if it's trademarked, or even approach the brand name owner and get it in writing that it's ok for you to go around making money for yourself off their name, why would you do that?

Oooooh no. You just go ahead and spend lots of time making the site and one day, when you get spotted, which won't be long as you're shoving yourself under their noses on the first page, they'll come along and take it off you.

Then you can come back here and whinge the site you had and worked so hard on has been taken off you.....and we'll all laugh.

Great plan, really great.

Why did you ask the question in the first place if you were just going to ignore any advice and do it anyway?

Any brand or trademarked name should not be monetised before you speak to a lawyer or get it in writing from the brand/trademark owner first....unless of course you enjoy wasting your own time.

Here's another point, I could rank for that same phrase, without a brand/trademarked domain and know I'd never lose it. It amazes me how people are so dependent on EMD's. They are not the be all and end all of ranking sites.

if you get an EMD domain, make it a targeted phrase. don't bother with brand names or even product names/numbers as these are too small. you want to allow room for growth.

in answer to the question - Amazon are not bothered if you use a copyrighted term (I've had this from the horses mouth) but the brands themselves might well be. avoid.

Not sure where you are getting your info from:

I'm pretty sure this includes trademark and copyright law....

The answer is to get a more generic name, but then SEO your page to the brand name. I know people are always reluctant to give away their niches, but I'll give you this one of mine:

Gerber Training Pants | Review and Lowest Price

I've SEOd for "Gerber training pants" and though it's not on the first page of the search results or anything like that, it is moving up the ranks.

Another way to do it is to also incorporate the model number if that's what you're targeting. For example, let's say you were targeting a Sony TV with model number NG789 (I totally made that up). Then, you might register a domain like NG789-TV.com or something like that.

Hope that helps.

Love,
Shannon

I asked Amazon in a support ticket. They said it is technically fine by them but is not recommended as the brand owners may not be so happy... which makes sense.
