Hey guys, So, I've just setup my latest IM page - just a couple page site. Not looking to make mega bucks from this one. Consider it a 'practice site' ![]() I've bought a few gigs from Fiverr before now, but never bothered with any of the SEO or link building gigs. There's so many of them i don't know where to start. Am i going to be wasting my time (and money) if i went down this route? Is there any Fiverr sellers that you would recommend to start me off on some linkbuilding etc? |

Hi there! There was a WSO on this point a month or so ago...so check that forum out too. However, in the interim time... Fiverr.com is an extremely valuable site for that type of work. However be choosy... Essentially, search for what you are looking for... and then filter the results by rating, i.e the feedback from previous jobs. Pick the contractor that delivers every time, that way you are ensured of a good job... Good luck... Joe |

I agree with Joe. I did this once just with trying to get a video ranked and it worked! I got my video ranked in several keywords I was working on for a promo. Be very choosy and you will eventually start to see some results.

If you are going to buy a gig on fiverr, see the recomendations dont jump in someone who is making mega claims. Some of these guys are black hat spammers which will sandbox your site, fiverr is cheap and has alot of bad link gigs while others provide a great service.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I do normally filter by rating and tend to stay away from the sellers that claim to offer the world! For example, i have previously used it for article writing, and purposely went for a seller that offer a less word count - with the theory they will be better articles as there won't be as much 'filler' content. Whether or not that theory was right, it seemed to work for me |

There are some solid gigs on Fiverr. You will want to read reviews (making sure they were not faked by the gigger) and do due diligence on the service offered. For example, if they are offering a link pyramid, are they closing the wheel or doing a more updated (less of a footprint) version. Are they asking for a password? What kind of timeline do they have? Carefully look over the gigs being offered. Once you try a service, make notes of when you tried it, the keyword you used it on and then keep tabs on how well it worked so you can find it again. I note the gigs I used on my keyword spreadsheets next to the keyword and keep a separate excel spreadsheet with Fiverr gigs I like for easy referral. The cream rises to the top. You will eventually find some great gigs and an easy way to promote your site and accomplish many tasks that would be time consuming. |

The problem with Fiverr is it's 90% crap, 8% average, and 2% high quality. You have to dig around for the decent gigs. And there are some. They're just hard to find. |

the only problem I find is I order a load of seo gigs from fiverr for my website. when my websites goes up in the rankings I don't know which gig helped it the most. just think for a minute if someone has 100 orders and the time to complete the gig is like 3 days then they won't necessarily give you quality.

I use 5er a lot for this type of stuff. but I'm careful with it. 1) Choose a service provider who's got a good rep. You can sort the searches by this at the top. 2) Don't just spam your own site with low pr backlinks. I like to use buffers. Web 2.0 sites, in between. You can spam the daylights out of those. So, I'm building fewer backlinks, but more link juice.

I have been using fiverr a lot for all my sites' backlinking. Since I do not have the time to do nearly enough of it myself, I consider it a good investment. I also put up a few gigs myself - that way I am able to pay for all the gigs I buy with the money I make from selling my own gigs. It is working out quite well ![]() I have had mostly good experiences, with a few that I canceled because they failed to deliver. I screen quite strictly when I order, going by their feedback, rating, by what they offer, and by there grammar, and spelling in their gig. I figure that if they can't or won't spell properly, etc. then they do not care about, or provide quality. P.S. I am also offering some backlinking gigs, as that seems to be one of the most popular gig types on fiverr. I do not offer 'thousands ' of backlinks. My gigs are for less links, with higher quality. Cheers and good luck! Ruth |

I've purchased a few "Highly Rated" Fiverr Backlink offers. I cannot say if the packages added any value to my SEO effort or not. As far as I can see none of the links I've purchased are showing up (whatever that means). You get what you pay for, I guess. What can you expect for five bucks? - You can pay that for a for coffee and a bagel. I'll no doubt risk a fiver at Fiverr a few more times in hopes of finding the real deal. To me it makes more sense to throw five bucks out to test an offer, than to spend an hour researching and making a decision, your situation may be different... Best of luck |

Although a lot of Fiverr offers are dodgy, if you look hard you'd probably find some good ones in there. Filter out the the offers by their rating, pick a few and see how they go. You'd eventually find some gold dust in there.

There are some spectacular SEO offers on Fiverr. As many have said above, look at the ratings. Also, don't pass on someone just because their ratings are not perfect. There are often people who do not know what they were buying that get miffed by the results. |
