Default Number One in Google, why no hits?

Hello All,

I have been very successful in almost "owning" some keyword phrases. For one phrase, I have the top three spots in Google, and another three spots on the front page of Google, totaling six in all.

I "own" other keyword phrases for the same sites, and am at the top of Google for those as well.

Regarding the one where I have six of the ten spots available on the first page of Google results, there are 5,400 Global searches per month, and 1,900 local searches per month.

Why is it that I only receive 5-10 visits per day?

It can't imagine being more successful in Google placement - what's wrong with this picture?

Did you do the keyword research in broad match by any chance?

What are ther exact match search numbers if not. This may answer your question.

Also, what are you using to check those rankings?

99% chance: You are making errors in your keyword research and those keywords are worthless.
other 1%: You are looking at personalized Google search results and not unbiased ones.

My bet is that you are looking at the personalized results.

Also, it could be that your titles and descriptions are just not appealing enough and no one is clicking.

I once had personalized results myself which for somereason I have never been able to fathom put one of my owns sites (which admittedly was complete crap) at the top and it barely got even a trickle of attention, of course it could be that no one is even remotely interested in what your site is about?

Boy I'm glad I came here to ask this question.

I went to Adwords keyword tool, used quotes, and chose "Only show ideas closely related to my search terms", and still received the same results.

However, I also utilized NicheFinder, (which is what I usually use,) and chose "exact match", and guess what? : 880 Global and 320 Local. Looking at the local results, that would equal about 10 hits a day.

Now it makes sense.

Thank you guys for helping!
