hi,
the new Google Analytic is really an improved version which has lot of features.
the two new features that i like about it are

1. heat map
2. traffic flow - which displays how the the traffic coming to your website and then in which pages they are visiting.

i personally don't think that the use of Google Webmaster Tool will get reduced because you still have to submit the sitemap of your website through it & also look into duplicate content which Google has detected in your website.

The new Google analytics now tracks Social media interactions from Twitter, Facebook and others. You can use it at your own risk, give someone more of your data, bounce rate, pages viewed, social media metrics and what not and lets see how they treat you in next Panda update.
