I see a lot of talk about automated backlink tools and ways to create the links yourself, such as article posting and profiles. How many of you are focusing on these tactics primarily vs some sort of strategy to acquire natural linkbacks? If the latter, what are you doing to get those links, besides the general "create great content"?

Why choose one or the other? Both have their place. If you use automated methods, try to make it LOOK natural.

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

Whats your budget? Because at the end of the day, thats what it comes down to. If you dont have time to do certain things, outsource it if you have the money and you will get results in return. It all depends on how much money your site will have the capacity to make. Lets say your site with enough visits will do $100 a day, or it used to, but it dropped in the SERPS. Spending $100 a month on services is worth it to get it back to where it should be right? |

Be natural if the search engine identify that your backlinks are generated due to automated work, it may be considered as spam... so work as natural.. |

Im using SEOCurl..Automates everything. Amazing if you have your own Blogging network, but if not you get seonitro elite free when you sign up. Its actually works great. They have also a link spinner which is worth checking out. To answer your question Natural is good but automation that can be made look natural is better |

regardless if your using automated tools or doing it manually.. if you create spammy links you create spammy links.. If your creating good on spammy content then it doesnt make any difference if its automated or manual.. |

Both. Here's a pretty simple methodology to follow: Manually created, high quality links (Web 2.0, original articles, manual blog comments, etc) ---> Your main website / pages Automated and/or lower links (blog commenting blasts, profiles, spun articles, etc) ---> Your backlinks |

Natural back links help in promoting ranking rather than automated links strategies.
