Few trivial quesitons from the seo beginner

Hi,
I have a few trivial questions. I don't really know if someone will answer them or not, but I have some problems finding answers and it's bugging me a bit. These are the questions:



1/ A number of my url's has „%” in them. For example:
http://www.example.com/store/products/xxx-xxx-xxx-%26-Red.html
What should I do with the %”? Is it harmful for my site?




2/ google says that I have Submitted 265 URLs with 185 URLs in web index
but in the results it's 666. What does that mean and what I should do about it?




3/ What code should I put in robots.txt to redirect versions of my homepage into one http://example.com/


4/ In „search engine optimization secrets” by Danny Dover, he says that through disabling cookies we can uncover issues related to the splash page. But I don't really understand how to uncover it.


5/ How do I check if the url is cannonical or not ? Live headers somehow (I can't find this information within the data from live headers though. For some sites it doesn't load data at all.




6/ why google doesn't see that wordpress blog is linking to my domain? Whilsts for the competition wordpress is no1 linking root domain?



7/What if 80% of the pages in first 10 of serps for command site:example.com are blog pages? Which are from ranking perspectiwe nearly completely useless.The blog on my site outranks everything and I'm curious why it happens.


I would be grateful if someone could answer at least some of them...
