Default Sub pages Vs subdomain Pagerank flow.

I Have Question about Pagerank flow:
If ihave a site :domain.com and i have 2 solutions like:
Solution #1:
Quote:
domain.com/blog and domain.com/video if i try to do :
Root domain only link to
domain.com/video and
domain.com/blog
Solution #2:
Quote:
Root domain only link to
video.domain.com and
blog.domain.com
So Pr domain.com/blog = Pr blog.domain.com ?
and PR domain.com/video = Pr video.domain.com ?
My friend have a same topic here:

The subdomains are treated as different domains, which means the PR coming from links you build to a particular subdomain only goes to that subdomain.

I would use subdomains if I had a more generic site about more topics, for example howtoloseweight.com (wish this domain wasn't taken :P), then create a subdomain diets.howtoloseweight.com, maybe nutrients.howtoloseweight.com, eating.howtloseweight.com, workouts.howtoloseweight.com, etc. etc.

Yes...Lucas is right! You should go with subdomains if you want a seperate topic within a niche else if its related with the main topic then you must go with subpages instead of subdomains. Your subpages will get rank juice and authority faster than the subdomains. But in some cases, subdomains are extremely good for rankings in particular niches.
