I have used Market Samurai on and off, but never quite got the hang of it. It seemed to be more trouble than it was worth. I read a report a few days ago that talked about it and it seemed to make sense to me, finally. So I have been using it the last few days. Can someone tell me which is more important when judging competition, SEOC or SEOUC? Is there any way to get MS to check these numbers without my having to click each one independently and also having to fill in captures every few clicks? Any other advice on using this tool would be appreciated. I am hoping that if I finally learn how to use this software that I might finally get good at key word research, and it will be worth while paying for this software. |

Unfortunately MS has gone downhill a little. Not totally their fault. Just too many changes on the Google side. You used to be able to capture all of the SEOC and SEOUC data at once. But this changed about 6 months ago. That said, I generally don't worry about overall competition. Instead, I try and see if I can beat the top 3 competition. Page 1 is nice. But the real traffic is in the top 3. Especially #1, obviously. |

I with Timpears - MS is really tough to navigate and very time consuming to learn. I was also looking to re-ignite MS (bought the deluxe package in 2008). Ed Dale professes that you can use MS for your Adwords campaigns? This got my attention as I am now working for a company that is a Google Adwords partner. If this is correct, does anyone know what to do in MS to create effective Adwords campaigns for my clients? Or any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much Guys! |

I actually used it for about 2 weeks and like the use of it but as others have said it is getting kind of dated so it is not exactly accurate on everything.. there are some good features... but not sure it is worth paying for any longer.

SEOC .......IMO is worthless thats the total number of competing sites on Google dont even look at that or the other one you mentioned you need to watch some youtube vids on using SEO funtion of Market Samurai Things that come up? Domain Age (DA).........not that important at all PR...............somewhat important but can outrank even PR4 or PR5 Indexed Pages (IC)............not that relevant. but if they have 1000s of pages, it might be Backlinks to Page (BP).................VERY IMPORTANT, Backlinks to Domain..........not that important ONPAGE SEO factors........Kw in Header, Description, Title, and Url (VERY IMPORTANT) I pay attention pretty much to Backlinks To page, and PR of site, and then to a smaller extent Domain age , oh and also I pay attention to ONPAGE SEO factors, very important All the other stuff I uncheck |
