Hi all, SEO Quake used to get their backlink data from Yahoo, but since their site-explorer program has been dismantled, SEO Quake is now getting the data from SEM Rush. However, when I do a search, all of the listings show "N/A" under the "links" area. Has anyone found a way to fix this? Do you know of any better way to get a quick overview of the first-page competition? Thanks for any helpful advice. |

Yahoo no longer is around to give SEO quake any results. Right now the most complete all in one package I have seen for that is SEO spyglass whcih still doesn't show anywhere near the links Yahoo did..

Mike, thank you very much for your reply! However, my question was concerning the SEO Quake plug-in for Firefox. Specifically, I'm talking about the feature where you can do a Google search and underneath each result in the SERPS, there is a small toolbar which lists information such as pagerank, age, links to the domain and links to the page, etc. Since SEO Quake switched over to using SEM Rush for its link information, it has not been displaying any backlink results. I was wondering if anyone had found a fix to this? Thanks for your SEO Spyglass recommendation. I'll look into it and see if it offers the same kind of top ten analysis that SEO Quake does. |

I also faced with link problem in seoquake, after yahoo site explorer stopped working. Seoquake suppport don't tell me how to imrove, they just apologise for inconvinience. But, may be this is not the solution, but reason of links problem in seoquake. If they take links from semrush, in semrush itself links also should be shown. But I don't find this option there. Hope they will solve this problem before Christmas. |

Try using Blekko.com - I've discovered it last week and they show lots of SEO related info - you have to create an account to get that info, but it's free. Am finding it handing since Yahoo! SE is no longer available |

Thanks for all of your suggestions, everyone. It looks like I'm not the only one with this problem. If you look on their blog, you will see a lot of comments about the last update giving users the same problems. I suspect that they will eventually change over to a service other than SEM Rush to show backlinks to a site. And to answer the user who posted about backlinkwatch.com, I did use it several days a go, and it was working fine. |

Once thing that I noticed was that the last time I used backlinkwatch.com it was not showing the PR of any links. SEO SpyGlass is another free tool that I've found to be really good at checking out the links of competing sites. However the downfall of both of these programs is that they only tell you the number of backlinks of one site at a time. SEO Quake used to allow you to do a Google search and see the backlinks each site had all in one view. However, this feature isn't working anymore. I think that for this purpose, a better tool would be a keyword research tool like Market Samurai. |

Now Ahrefs API also offers adding its parameters to your SeoQuake toolbar. You may add such parameters as number of links, referring domains, IPs etc. More details coming here - Ahrefs Data in SeoQuake Toolbar - Ahrefs .

I found domain dash pop dot come is very good for checking backlinks. It gives excellent detail on the links found. Lists them in various categories, tells you the number of different domains, etc. Very good for reverse engineering. It does not work like SEOquake used, being part of the firefox browser, but I think it is useful.
