Lightbulb Site seems to be stuck in current Google Position

I've been working on my site daily (backlinking) for about a month now and can't seem to budge in the ranks when using the search term "Oklahoma City Locksmith". I'd really like some advice on this issue. Im on page one of Google but Im number 10. The site im trying to move up is my first signature link (top link).

Take it easy man. Maybe your nine competitors have aged domain. All you need to do is little patient.

Post back-links to your page this way:

Anchor text = XYZ

And make sure the title of the page you are back-linking from contains keywords you are optimizing for.

Do this for a week with consistency or two and I guarantee your site will be #1 in a month.

Your competition SEO wise doesn't look to be that fierce. Post a few links on some High PR pages that look like this (Oklahoma City Locksmith).

Google also has this as your inbound link to your homepage as domain/blog

Make that more seo friendly.

A bunch of silly crap links should even get you in the top 3. Just don't over do it.

That's a start...

You've better have a solid backlink strategy because your on-page SEO is pretty bad.

Are those dupe articles you're syndicating from Zimbio? If the only unique content you have on the page is that single paragraph below your Welcome header then your on-page is in dire straits.

I wrote all of my content. I syndicate with zimbio. One paragraph? My home page is 600+ words and 6-7 paragraphs.

Well, using Google's preview, you showed up 16th, not 10th. And that was your blog. Your home page was actually next in 17th position.

Domain age keeps getting mentioned here often but I doubt there's a huge benefit to having an aged domain. And obviously there's a limit to how many backlinks you have although I'd follow Iriss' suggestion if you're not doing it that way. I wouldn't guarantee anything however as there's more to backlinks in improving ranking.

The amount of content on the page has very little to do with the ranking of the page. Do you think if someone searches for a locksmith in Oklahoma he wants to read a novel about locksmithing? No, he wants to know where it is, the prices and a telephone number. And Google knows this.

if you are trying to secure top position then local business directories and google map will help you. you can submit your site to Google business listing and you can secure top position for your desired keyword.

Seems like you don't need suggestions about on-page optimization of you website, so I'll save it. As to promote rank with backlinking, try to find more quality backlinks from different kinds of websites, and just like Iriss said, use anchor text appropriately would be better.

Build links from theme based PR sites. Search some similar theme sites on Google and approach them for link exchange. And if you build one way links, would be more advantageous for you.
