Default Competitor Monitoring

Hello. Is there a way to see competitors keywords for SEO and how much traffic they get? Just encountered someone asked me about this.

Thanks,

Thanks,
You mean find out what the competitor is trying to rank for? Well, if you visit his website, you can tell by looking at the h1/h2 tags, alt text of images, titles, bolded keywords, etc. what he is trying to rank for.

You can also use the Google Keyword Tool and put in your competitor's domain in there (make sure you put it in the "Website" search box). A number of keywords will pop, these are mostly the keywords he's optimized his site for.

As for traffic, you can use Quantcast, Compete.com or Alexa to get rough estimates of the traffic your competitor gets.
