How are these sites allow to use adsense?

I moved to affiliate programs and offline business models a while back because I had to stop using adsense on my video blog (which was many videos from youtube). I found (not sure if this changed) that it was against the rules to use or place adsense next to youtube videos or to have a youtube blog.

WSHH VideoTUBE|Urban Media : they have videos with guns, cursing, and violence! They are a major website in terms of traffic and they get to use adsense?

Sifted Videos • VideoSift: Online Video *Quality Control : they were actually banned for a while and some how are now able to show adsense ads now. They have a lot of youtube videos on the site which makes of 80% of they're content.

I have a site where I just post videos mostly from youtube and general pics of current events, but I didn't put adsense on my site because of the TOS issues. I also heard that you can't have adsense besides youtube videos. I also have descriptions placed next to the videos and pics so its not just posting of only videos.

Help me understand why these two sites get away with this.

They've been very lucky. Same with Adwords, some advertisers get away with things.
