Default How Can I Change my Snippet in the SERPS

Last week I found my website was displaying the site directory of my website instead of the homepage. I got it resolved; somehow the file that should show the website content had been renamed.

So I was going through my SERP results yesterday and noticed that the title and Meta Description being displayed was from my directory not the actual title and Meta Description from my home page.

However Google does display the correct snippet from my website in my Google PPC ads results.

I'm hoping there is a simple fix for this so if you have an idea on the best way to get this resolved please let me know. Really appreciate any suggestions.

Sounds like it's just Google being silly. If you're meta tags are fine on your site just be patient, it will resolve itself

If you are using a Wordpress powered site and an SEO plugin such as "All in one SEO", all you have to do is go into the "Settings" section of your Wordpress theme and edit the current "Meta Description" you have there.

If however you are not using any SEO plugin, the more reason why you should so that you can make such alterations easily.

Note that it will still take a few days/weeks for Google's crawlers to crawl your site, note the amended Meta Description and update its index.
