So…I dabbled with this for a while and I decided to go with it! I start this case study because I want to keep track of all the steps I do and I need something to keep me going. The competition isn’t very low although I have found some niches that have CRAZY LOW competition but there are other factors involved in those niches, such as the fact that there’s no affiliate product and I really don’t have the resources to build my own product at the moment. So. what do I have? 2 Domains..1 for Adsense...1 for Clickbank. What do I do? Backlinking but with a twist that no one is doing..so let’s call it the Blanket technique. I won’t reveal it… yet... I want to test it and see what I get. I used it a bit in another project of mine but I wasn’t sure if it was responsible for the increase in rankings because I did a lot of backlinking on that project. The Adsense domain: I bought 1 EMD+2 (exact match domain +2 letters) 1 month ago…I added 10 articles in these 30 days and Senuked 1 time with 4-5 article directories but the domain is nowhere to be found for the keyword. The niche is pretty damn expensive and not to competitive if you see it from the internet marketing point of view. ![]() “ “ in Google 103.000 The site is nowhere right now. Also this is the traffic that I got until now: The Clickbank domain: Bought today: A EMD+3 the targeted keyword The niche is relatively new but it’s a constant seller in the Clickbank environment. ![]() “ “ in Google 700,000 – that’s a lot but the first page Pr are less than 2 with ages less than 2 years. I will update this thread daily or as soon as I see any updates. |

The question at hand should be "Which one will make 100$ first?" or 1k$... Just "money" is more or less clear that its adsense, but 0.03$ etc shouldnt count. So if you can rephrase it, I believe you will get the answers you want ![]() Just a thought. Sincerely, Buyseech |

The whole idea of how many pages there are in google when you search in quotes doesn't matter. You're only competing against the first 3 on those low traffic adsense sites, and the first 10 on click bank site. Who cares if there is 100,000 or 3,000,000,000 pages? Here's how it plays out... Adsense is easier to make money with than affiliate marketing. But affiliate marketing is much more lucrative if you have any idea what you're doing. |

What I would like to add is that even if you target a keyword with x many searches and you don't reach top 3 you might still get a lot of traffic from other keywords because even if you do SEO to reach first spots for that keyword your rankings on other keywords will increase also. My point of view on competition is that you can get anywhere if you just put hard work, SEO in our case but you need to consider 2 other factors: 1. How fast you want to start making money? But this comes hand in hand with the fact that a niche easy to get high rankings is usually a small niche so the money that you make will not be too much. 2. How much money do you want to make. | |||

The website is indexed already but it doesn't have any rankings for the targeted keyword. Haven't done nothing with the adsense website. OH and Merry Christmas to you all! |

I like clickbank way better because you can form a real business from a niche site. If you capture leads and then offer products from there mixed in with some good value, you have a MUCH better business model than just having people click away from your site with adsense. But, like anything in this world, you have to test... |

Day 2. "Blanket" Backlinks and 1 article on each website. No improvement in traffic or rankings. But it's Christmas... |

I've signed up for a trial of a SEO online service and the first thing I did was checking the competition for the 2 targeted keywords. Although it might seem that the adsense is easier to rank from the percentage that the software gives me I really think that it's the other way around. Adsense: ![]() And the top 10: ![]() Clickbank: ![]() And the top 10: ![]() Still...no movement in traffic, income or rankings but it's very early to judge. I just add content and build quality links. |

Well.. Well... Well... Can you say results already? After some content...some backlinking today I just was amazed when I saw 7 people coming to my Clickbank website 5 being from the yahoo+bing search engines. The 5 visits were from 3 keywords. But here's the best part: 1st keyword searches in GOOGLE!: 40,500 Global Searches for EXACT match 2nd keyword:12,100 for EXACT MATCH 3d Keyword: 720 for Exact match I don't know where to check yahoo searches but I suppose there are 10-25% from Google searches. With some math... you will see that those keywords might give me a bit of traffic. I'll keep you posted with the results... It's not money...but you all know that you need traffic for money! |
