I think I pay $14.99 on GoDaddy for a .org renewal.

I think I usually get them cheaper by searching on google for godaddy coupons. Here's a link I found on the site "Fat Wallet". If you use namecheap, just type in namecheap coupons and look for the renewal ones. |

That sounds quite reasonable, most domain companies i have dealt with such as namesco increase the charges on renewal.
