Hi,
How can I add a picture so that it shows up in google results

I am ranking on page one for a term "mobile websites for cell phones". When i do a search for this term in google, the third result that I see has the picture of the author... and I feel it is very catchy and people will surely tend to click more on that link.

How can I add a picture so that it shows up in google results. Would appreciate your help.

If your talking about the thumbnail image of "Amit Agarwal", that's a Google Public Profile connected to his Google account.

I am talking about the thumbnail.. But how can I link my profile to my site so that it shows up in google results.

1) Setup a Google account

2) Connect the site to your https://profiles.google.com/

Your still not guaranteed the profile will show up in the SERPs. Still that's how you get it started (connecting the site/profile).

Chances are very high you'll see the thumbnail image start showing in the SERPs while logged into your regular Google account. The SERPs might take more time to update when logged out of the Google account.

BTW, I advise to not spam that SERP thumbnail with an image other than an image of yourself.

Just saying, that thumbnail is tied to your entire Google account. If they see spam, it's possible they could shut down the entire Google account.

It been one year i saw these kind of thing on search result for matt cutt, i tried but not get any idea to get thumbnail on search result NOW I'm going to edit my Google profile and connect with ma blog. let see
