Whats the next best source of targeted traffic to Google ?

I have been spending a lot of my valuable time and effort dancing to Googles tune in an effort to get first in the serps, sometimes successful, sometimes not.

I would ideally not like to have all my "eggs" in googles "basket", has anyone found a reliable competitor that can get us all similar amounts of targeted traffic ?

I love LinkedIn - join relevant groups (as many as you can), write blog posts with good solid content, then post them to the groups. Massive traffic and sales.
