| Please let me know how hard it will be to rank each of these sites from a scale of 1-10. Domains are the EXACT SAME keyword searches and all .coms. All are running Wordpress, and are about 2 months old. All have been indexed on Google so far with about 3-4 category pages each and little to no content.. About ready to add content and start the SEO process but want your thoughts. Remember these are 9 websites, all different domains, also to not confused anyone, #'s are just so we can figure out which domains.. (Not my rating) UPDATE: More information on Competition. Anyways, all of the competing sites have 100-400 backlinks at most (95% are low ranking sites just who is, stat sites and business directories, etc.) Very weak backlinks and they have NO SEO link building or anything of that nature.. Most of the domains are anywhere from 2-6 years old. They all have some on-page SEO but it's very poor and doesn't really look like anything's been done. Most of the sites are anywhere from 40-100 pages with 80% of the pages being inner product pages. Very little real content, just a lot of product specs and scrambled words on the pages. #1 About 7,980,000 results (0.23 seconds) #2 About 1,250,000 results (0.20 seconds) #3 About 300,000 results (0.22 seconds) #4 About 152,000 results (0.35 seconds) #5 About 42,700 results (0.24 seconds) #6 About 181,000 results (0.27 seconds) #7 About 1,210,000 results (0.22 seconds) #8 About 689,000 results (0.23 seconds) #9 About 2,460,000 results (0.23 seconds) |

It's impossible to tell simply by judging how many results there are for the keyword, that has nothing to do with how hard it would be to rank. You need to look at the strength of the competing sites in the top 10 if you are aiming to get on page 1. Lee |

Ah thanks for the information, didn't realize that was needed to judge these. Why are you even asking this question? No one can tell you the right answer. So many variables, such as domain names, age, content, etc. Resources that you have at your disposal. Nothing is impossible. If you want to rank something just do it. I always wonder why people ask such a dumb questions, but then again there are no dumb questions just a lot of inquisitive idiots. You either do it or not. Sky is the limit. |
