I'm thinking of buying a domain name and I don't really know which one. Let's say, as an example, that the keyword I'm going for is: "how to find a good domain name" Should I go for howtofindagooddomainname.com, or howtofindgooddomainname.com (without the article "a") or what else? Thanks in advance for your help... but these are my first steps in SEO and I'm working on learning new things |

I would leave out the "a" (unless the original domain is already taken) and probably the "how to" too. The "a" is not as relevant to a query as the rest of the keywords.

You have to figure out via a keyword search what is the most popular search term for a particular niche. Also, try to keep the domain name under 12 characters with no 2 letters being the same consecutively in two words. (i.e. warriorroom.com - not good).
