Default How will my new site affect SEO?

Here is my current site: Piece of Cake PR - Press Release Writing and Distribution Service

We're having it re-designed, and the new version will reflect something along the lines of this: Piece Of Cake

How will our SEO be affected? I'm no expert, but here are my current concerns:

1. The new site is very graphical, will the lack of text be bad for us?
2. I'm a bit unsure where the H1 tags etc will be located in the new site?

Basically, we're on page 1 for a few search terms now, and I don't want to lose our place!

I'm only really concerned about the home page as the rest of the site's content will remain the same, it will just be pasted into this new-look template.

Any advice? Please ignore the current text content as it's all going to be changed. Right now the designer has just thrown anything in to demonstrate content placement.

It's possible that you'll be affected, but it depends a lot on how your existing SEO is done. I saw a great example here the other day for the keyword "jobs".

#1. Monster.com
#2. Indeed.com (sometimes it's #1)

If you look at Indeed.com, it has basically no content on the front page. But, it has a ton of content at blog.indeed.com, most of it points back to the root URL. Plus, I'm sure it has a huge number of backlinks from external sources with the keyword "jobs" pointing to the root.

When I compare the two designs, I don't think you should experience any negative effects for the change, especially if it is only the home page. There would be a little loss of content, but the question is, how important was that little extra content on that one page. I can be wrong here, but I don't think it will matter a great deal at this point, since you are already ranking and its not a huge change.
