Have keyword tools got worse in speed and user friendliness?

Have you noticed keyword tools have decline in being user friendly and effective?

When I use Rank Tracker or SEO Spyglass it keeps prompting me for captcha
info. Traffic Travis is now not as fast to used to be and does not give information as well as it before. Yahoo site explorer in now defunct. People have said Market Samaui is slow and hangs quite a bit.

It used to be much easier, has anyone else found tools not working as well as before? And are there any free or paid tools you would recommend to check backlinks

And which tools would you recommend to get fast info -including links - on the top ten sites for any keyword in one search? Traffic Travis used to do this.
