B2B Marketing.....When building my following and follower base on twitter do I follow only potential customers(prospects) or do I also need to follow industry experts and competitors?

What is my gain in following industry leaders and competitors on twitter? I want to use twitter mostly for sharing my blogs with business prospects.

For twitter B2B marketing what is my gain in following relevant twitter lists? E.g. a list created by a high profile expert and then following its followers. The list followers that I checked are mostly in the same niche as me. Does this help my business acquire customer leads in any way?

What does it mean when internet marketer says follow people who are mentioned by people in my niche- i.e. people that are highly relevant to my niche or engaged with me?
How do I find this people on twitter?

I generally follow people in my niche or you share my interests. I also follow people with a lot of followers so I can gain even more customers. I believe internet marketers mean to follow people relevant to your niche.

Follow potential customers is obviously a good practice. However, it's also important to get surrounded by influent people. Try to avoid direct competitors but follow all other relevant people on your niche.

If I tweet a lot, I've sometimes gotten two hundred and fifty unique views to my site in a day from Twitter. I have 20,000 on my main account. I get my followers from Twiends. I sell 1,000 followers from Twiends for ten dollars.
