Likes all come from fake accounts created in mass.

No real detrimental effects, the one benefit it adds is that it creates a mob effect.
Since facebook users can't really view others who like the page, they only see that xxx has liked this page, this will create a bit of comfort and interest. It's better to start promoting your page when the # is sitting at 500 than at 0.

Yep, that is the only real benefit and it is enough for these gigs to be thriving since most new FB pages are desperate to have fans rather than be seen with 0, fake or not. Some of these gigs even guarantee you that the fans will come from a specific country, gender, etc...
They are all fake profiles have no doubt about it but the benefit above is still worth 25-50 bucks for many page owners.

They are not real likes. Fake. Fiverr is full of junk stuff. Only few genuine sellers

10 people in cybernet cafe with every of them have around 50-100 facebook account. this condition occurs only in some country like mine(indonesia,india,etc). you can pay people with only $0.5-$2 for 8 hours hard work

Even though the likes aren't "real fans" . The benefit is in creating a perceived value in a potential fan. Therefore they are more likely to like a page with 500 fans as opposed to a page with 30 fans.

If they like, google+, tweet or youtube subscribe inturn they will get
credits

Then they use these credits to get your Likes you paid $5

It takes them probably 30-60mins work for $5 USD less Fiverr fees = $4

$4 in Bombay is F**kin good money considering the average person
makes $4 per week (I don't know just thought I'de throw that in)

You could have done it yourself without paying $5 lol
