Hi, In the "warriors for hire" section i posted a thread requested keyword research for $50. Soon a guy contacted me. I asked what the minimum global monthly search for each keyword was. He replied back saying "Generally I take it down to 500 searches but that number is not etched in stone (depends on niche) but I also include a complete list of all keywords (down to 0 search) in a csv file." Why would i need a keyword will 0 searches a month? I am fairly new to IM so so i don't know everything but a keyword that is searches 0 times why would i need it? Thank you for your help! |

Ask the guy who gave you the data. But some people rank for keywords, then build a demand for those keywords. Also, some may have 0 searches for this month, but may have high-peaks during the year, during the normal cycle of interest. One example might be Halloween Costumes. No one tries to find Halloween Costumes except during August, Sept and Oct. |

If the keywords are related to your niche, I suppose having them on a list that you use when writing could be helpful. If I'm not real familiar with a subject, I research words and phrases that appear on sites high in the SERPs. I keep those around when I'm writing to help me stay focused.

I don’t understand why would your keyword (considering that you have done enough research to choose them) show zero searches unless it is like how tpw said; it is because of the nature of your niche.

Keywords have zero search volume because Google doesn't have enough significant searches for them to display, i.e not enough people are looking for them. Also, some keywords are new such as products that are new on the market which are not well known yet.

A 0 search volume would be any keyword phrase where Google doesn't have enough data to give any accurate figures. These type of keywords are definitely very long tail keywords. However, they can still help as they should be related to your primary keyword, so they will help from an LSI and long tail perspective. |

which kinda explains why some keywords seem way out of whack.P.S. You need to do an exact match search and download the results to see the monthly searches. | |

0 searches is worthless. I think the guy just wanted to give you all of the data he came across.
