Is this a suggestion that my on-page optimization is erroneous?

I put up a page yesterday targeting the KW best plr membership site, the on-page optimization was (what I though) good for the KW.

Yet I have just checked the rankings and it's showing 31st with out quotes and 33rd. Can anyone explain what's going on here?

That wouldn't explain why it is ranking higher for non-quoted rankings though would it?

Also how many other sites are competing for the term.

Just because your on-page is spot on doesn't mean other site aren't just as good, to say it went up yesterday and is 31st is good throw some back links at it and see what happens.

If it was me I would probably social bookmark it to start with and re-review in a few days

Fairly frequently, it has a lot of social bookmark links I think.

I'm not too concerned about it, just wondering what could have caused it to rank in the way it did.
