Default should i buy a site or create one

So hey I want to try seo I don't know should I create my own site or just buy one.

I seen flippa but is it legit I see site for $300 that says earn $1000 a month is that possible.

Also what's the deal with flippa do I buy the site then the owner tells me what to do.
Or do I just create a WordPress blog get a domain and get hosting any suggestions also a manual on creating a site would help

Usually my experience when selling a website is - price = 6x monthly profits. In the case above - the website should be sold at around $6k.

But it really depends. I don't think that someone is stupid enough to sell his website for 1/3 of his monthly profits Possible reasons:
- The website has the potential to make $1000/m with some investments, but its profits are currently zero.
- The owner is lying - no doubt if there is not a real proof for these profits.
- The website will soon lose (or already lost) its "juice".

When purchasing a website from flippa, the owner must provide you with all website files.

The strongest side of the freelancing is that you are controlled by your inspiration.

I would recommend at least starting a website from scratch in order to really learn what it takes to create a successful website. Once you know how to create your own websites successfully, it becomes much less of a gamble when seeking to pick up established websites to add to your portfolio. Plus, you'll know exactly what to do in order to drive up their earnings and potentially flip them in the future for an even larger profit.
