Bought a 1500+ page website for only $20.00

Hi,
I'm pretty new on this forum, and like others I'm all about making money online. Just the other day, I got emailed a great offer. For only $20.00 I bought a 1500+ page website that is fully automated. All I had to do was upload the site to my ftp server. The site is already loaded with googleadsense (just had to put in my code). I was wondering if anyone else has purchased this site and if they are making money like the site claimed?

I'm happy anyway, I just have to start promoting the site. Before I was working on a blog, and it's over a year old, and I only have 200 pages. So already I've done better, I now have over 1500 pages with my google adsense ads on it.

I also just wanted to add that I enjoy this forum and all the tips that people offer. I would like to be successful one day and share my success with people.

I'm curious as to what methods people use with google adsense, and if it's possible to retire on it?

You have to be careful with sites like this? Is it MFA? Has it unique content or just articles from directories?
Why did this person sell the site? Was it because the site was banned from Adsense?

Don't mix up pages with traffic, even pushing a 50k+ pages database based site into google doesn't mean you will earn a buck a day, especially if it isn't unique and consists of scraped articles or similar.

1500 page website for $20. A site that is full of duplicate pages scraped from everyones rss feed. I wouldn't of spent more than 0 dollars. My new blog that has 1 post so far of original content is worth more than your monster.

I just installed the site yesterday and already I made $2.00. I know that's not much, but considering my blog that I have been plugging away for, for a year, makes about $.70 a day on a good day.

Anyway my website that it's on is a PR2, so I will keep you updated on the results. As always thanks for the comments.

Did you checked the originality of the articles? LOL... 1500 pages for $20 is a pure fraud.. I am 100% sure your contents are duplicate...seems the one who sold this is really despertate in taking your money...

Looks like a good looking website but one thing I can see is that it looks like I have seen those finance articles somewhere... cannot name them

Hi, perhaps it's fraud I don't know, but it was $20 for a limited time, the package is normally $200.00 so I was quick to jump on it. Also came with a program that allowed me to put in my google adsense code and domain name.

Also if you look at the articles, they are all getting credit by a link for writing them.

Sure it's a duplicate site, but for 1500+ pages, I'm not going to complain, like I said I make more in one day with this site then I did with my original blog which has almost 200 pages.

BTW, your $20 is not wasted.. you have PR.. just make some push on promotion and you could recover your $20 in lest than a month with adsense.

Thanks - that's what I'm thinking cause I do have a bit of PR. So far I am making $2.00 a day. Not big money, but a lot more then I had with my blog I've been promoting for a year. I'll keep everyone posted on how I do.

Well congratulations... I would buy it for $20 too if it is offered to me.. ... for get the content... what is important is the cost, pr, domain age, and traffic... The site is not bad looking too.

I guess it all comes down to if you are following Google's Webmasters Guidelines. I believe it says something on there about excessive amounts of duplicate content, but you'll have to check to make sure.

I've seen too many people get banned from Adsense for doing the wrong thing, just wanted to give you a heads up.

Yeah I reckon it's worth the price you paid for it. Sure content is one thing, but everything is interlinked with clean URL's etc. If you're into blackhat, all you need to do is somehow spin all the articles and you got a 1500 page blackhat money machine

Hi, I got it from Adsense Treasure, and I am not reselling it, so I am okay. I am just using it to make money from google adsense. And actually I am now at $3.00 a day. Whether you agree or not, it's the most money I have made from this url.

The PR 2 rank, I did myself through promoting, so due to having a high page ranking, that is how I am making the money.

that $20 well spent, in a few weeks you will would have made your money back. Looks like the articles are reproduced from Article directories and not scraped as some people are claiming, so you have nothing to worry about.
Despite what the scaremongers say it is possible to have a decent site consisting of unedited PLR and reproduced articles.
You have a PR2 now you need to get some links to you pages and bookmark them

So did you install it yourself 101 Traffic or you simply pay them to install. The reason I am very interested is the contents. If its easy to install i will install it but if its complicated my plan was to buy it and rewrite a bit and make them my own and create my own website for it. You cannot get a plr article fro 1500 articles for only 20.00 bucks!

The number one misconception still lives...

No ban for duplicate content. They ignore.

Hi traffic101, just a few 'off main topic' comments from me:

a) try to remove the counter and the link to the site stats from your main page. This is information only you should have and should not be visible to your visitors/competitors.
b) if possible, put a nofollow tag to all external links. With 1500 articles all linking out to their respective authors websites, you are bleeding PR.
c) from your article pages you currently link back to your homepage with the word homepage as link text. Change it to something that you would like to rank for.
d) currently you have 336 internal links on your computer section. Remember that google sometime ago said no more than 100 links per page? So the rest probably doesn't get spidered.
I would create sub-sections for each main topic, so
1) possible visitors arriving from the homepage find content easier
2) SEs can spider more comfortably
3) you can apply better, keywordspecific link text (see point c from above) linking back to the sub-sections instead of the linking to the homepage.

Hope this helps you in getting from 3$/day to maybe 5$/day.

Hi Oling, I uploaded it myself to my ftp server, it was really quite easy. If you have a domain and hosting company they should have a ftp server feature. If you need help doing this part, let me know as it took me a couple of tries to get it right. Hope that helps and good luck.

Hi Oling the package comes with search and find software where you can switch the google adsense code with yours. It's instructions aren't the greatest that's why it took me a couple of tries, but once I got the hang of it, now it's easy to do.

I don't have written instructions, if you needed my help, I could work something out with you, but you should look over the package yourself and see if you can figure it out.

I tried to do last night and I just got head ache and it was already :00 am in the morning and nothing is getting thru my little brains. And which package are you talking about. I downloaded all the ones that are suppose to be downloaded including the instructions which is not great... and instead i was given a link if I need help and I have to be a premium member at 297.00 dollars to get installed for me professionally. Thus to be this guy selling all this stuff is really after newbies and take their money an lots of it. You are lucky you got it on a special offer. I mean 297.00 is Crap! Some people can install this stuffs for 20.00 dollars.

I installed it myself. I did not pay someone to do it. I paid $20.00 for the package and figured it out. If you want to PM me, I can work out something for you to help you. Do you have a ftp server? It's not that difficult. I wouldn't pay for them to do it for you. Let me know if you need help.

OUCH. But there are other things you can do on this site to monitize it. Why not, since it is already set up. Adsense, possible affiliate promotion, maybe backlinks.

You'll have to test and see what turns up. I guess they got you with the scarcity and price increase marketing, huh?

I have check it and there are about 7 sites that has it on their pages- on the finance article. None of the sites are have PR except for one which is PR 2 and an alexa ranking of 971560 and all the rest are over 5000000. That would be tough!

hi, I promoted my site through directories, articles, and social bookmarking. I did not pay for traffic as I think that's a rip off. I've had the site for four months and have been promoting it off and on. You need to really work to get your site highly ranked, and you need important links. Thanks for everyone's comments. I am glad I went this way, as I am enjoying the adsense money and the fact that it's automatic. It will work on it's own.

I say if your making money from your website, that is what matters most...I know of several well known internet marketers who use nothing but duplicate plr content, have been doing it for years and make a ton of money. They say that it's less about the content, duplicate or not, and more about whether your links are coming from authority sites.

Its not hard to build a website with 1500 pages. Using Wordpress Auto Blogging tool the site of this size can be easily build within 30 mins.
