My Adsense cpc is extremely low

Hey guys,

So I have this website with 1000-1500 visitors per day, it's in free online games niche.

I'm curious why do I have $0,05 cpc ? Maximum ever was $0,22 cpc.
can I increase it somehow? I think making $3 per day with 1500 visitors it's damn low !

What theme are you using? CTR? This made a big difference for one of my sites.

Yes and it's around 2-3%. What should I do? What kind of other themes there are? O_O

the CPC for free online games looks to be around .53 for advertisers in the paid search results. The content network will be much lower than that and Google takes its cut. I would expect the CPC to be about where you stated.

Your best option would be to work with ad placement to make sure that you are getting the highest CTR possible.

Also look at the ads that are showing on the site to make sure they are relevant to your visitors. I have had some success blocking certain advertisers that were not relevant. For example, I created a site that was about car seats. The ads showing on the site were about cars and after blocking those ads, I was able to increase the CTR quite a bit.

Move on... The keyword you chose sucks, that's the main part of the game, one more thing, 1000/1500 is very little search, no way you will get $3 day with this amount of traffic,even if you are on the the top of the page.

Hey Benignant, sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your blog. If you ask me I think the #1 reason that your CPC is so low is because your blog is dedicated to "free" online games. Most advertisers do not want to pay a high cost per click for free niches, they want people who are looking to buy.

With that being said, there are some things you can do to bring in some higher rated ads. I agree with you that you definiately should be earning WAY more than 3 dollars per day with 1,500 visitiors. I have several adsense sites that are brining in between $25-$35 per day and they only get about 250 visitors per day per site. It's all about the keywords that you are targeting.

The free gaming niche has a very low CPC in general.

Try switching to a new niche with a higher CPC if your goal is to make more with Google Adsense.

Industry or niche who have more websites or more ads frequently will have definitely low cpc.

Online games is a highly popular niche. May be you can try promoting some affiliate game products or services in this niche.
