How to optimize for questions

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to rank for questions ? For example, I I want to rank for "what is the ... " or "where is ..." or "how do I ... " are the specific tips to rank for such questions. Obviously providing the best informed answer is the first step but above and beyond that are there any specific titles or tags or contents that would help to improve a posts ranking ?

I think this has a pretty simple answer. you basically just need to ask the question and provide the best answer to it. Treat the question like your keyword. It needs to be a question that many want to know the answer to etc.

You have infact allready done it. Try searching Google for "How to optimize for questions"

it's not really different from ranking for (longer) keyphrases. Just consider the question and it's variation as your keywords and optimize accordingly; make sure the question is in H1 on the page.. repeat it a few times 'so the answer to the question 'blablablabla' is....' create backlinks with that question as anchor text etc.

furthermore it is important if you have different questions around a common theme or if it's all sorts of questions;

"where can I buy chia seeds"
"what are the benefits of buying chia seeds"
"how can I buy chia seeds"

-> optimize on the theme; "buy chia seeds" and get domain name buychiaseeds.com

if it's all sorts of same questions around the same question:
"how can I learn Spanish"
"how can I learn to build a house"
"how can I learn to cook"

-> optimize the question; "how can I (learn)" and get domain name howcani.com
