Yes that is way too long. You could try submitting a sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools. Or get a couple of good links to bring the crawlers round again.

That is a very long time, what platform is your blog hosted on i.e. wordpress, flash or drupal etc? I have found that with wordpress a few new links will make sure they are changed within a couple of hours. Flash sites for some reason can take up too a week but nowhere near as long as six weeks. Have you built any new links to it since? |

Re-submit your sitemap in Google webmaster tools and try to get some backlinks for particular pages by doing some off page activities like social bookmarking. After doing this, your page definitely cached by Google.

I am agreed that it is too long to be indexed by Google but i think it will be done in couple of days when Google will crawl you site.

This is really weird, I guess you are talking about the web design site that is not based on WordPress. Pinging should help I guess, for me has also worked submitting every single post to Traffic Launch Pad.

What's the cache date in Google? Does the cached version show the updated information?

Me too had the same issue but after some days the new meta description displayed by doing off page work especially do follow comment posting and social bookmarking. if your site is focused for particular region, you have to focus to the country wise in link building. This is known one to all that if we submit our sitemap url in Google Webmaster Tool. it will work soon. |

I would say to get some social bookmarks and ping them as well as ping your site too. That should help you to get indexed.

This should help you in search related things too. You can get a false reading of where a page is ranked sometimes. Example, you have been watching what position your website is on the first page of google. It seems to never change. That's because your browser is bringing up old cashed pages from memory. Anyway, clear your browsers cashed page. If you feel it is an index thing, go to my website and ad your urls and press submit. That should help. Quick Links arnold55 mike reynolds | |
