Google +1 and SERP

I have been doing some own experiments to find out if Google "+1"s influence SERP and yet I did not see any convening observations for google using "+1"s for SERP.

What do you think?

I would like to see if any of you have experiences and observations on this.

Actually they effect the search results when someone from your connections and friends is searching for a relative keyword to your site.

I am sure that you have witnessed that when you search for something on google while you are signed in some of the first results have a pic of someone of your connections who has shared this page, now if you sign out from your google account the results for the same keyword will be different...

Yes. It works when some one in my connection searching. But, I want to find out if it works in general. ie, Is google "+1" influencing the SERP (lets just forget about the people in our connection).

Like you said, it's for personalized use. In general it won't affect your rankings. Did a few tests and no movements.

Since this is a personalized one, you need to get related people to your niche. The interaction of them will improve rankings. But it's not much effective as backlinks.

We have done some tests and found that it only influences those in your circle for searches. However, I would keep this building because if you have thousands of people of your circle then you are going to make a relative impact to your site.

Even if it only influences your circle searches, at least it does that. I still use it to assist with the overall promotion of the site in general.

In general (while signed out) there is no significant effect of +1 on the SERPs.
