If using Wordpress, just go to General Settings and change it there.

Please not that Google sees www and no-www as two different sites. In fact, they are two different pages. Best practice is to choose one and STAY with it and 301 redirect the other one to it. Wordpress does it automatically.

Changing it around could negatively affect your rankings.

I always use http:// rather than www. mainly personal preference, but as 'retsek' says they will be seen differently by Google (Yes, I know you thought Google was smart, but that's just an illusion!)

If I were you, I'd stick with http:// unless site is brand new and you have a real hankering for the www

You can have either www version or non-www version. For example if you want to have www(.)exapmle(.)com, you can make a 301 permanent redirect from example(.)com to www(.)example(.)com.

Hi,

You rewrite the URL using htaccess file and upload on root at your server.

This is the time to explain one of my site's 301 redirection that we actually got the domain name as www.ozeeya.com. then i did SEO for this media site as http://ozeeya.com.

By doing this we got so many error in this website. then i redirected this www URL as http://. Now the error problem is solved.

Make no difference...Stop worrying about menial things and...

GO TO WORK!

If it helps you move, I use http:// and I makes the $$$.
