100k links from a related domain at once...Dangerous??

Hi there,

I dont see any problems here, but I would still like to discuss the following:

You recieve a Link to your site in a footer/sidebar from a related blog/site with 100 000 indexed pages. Eventually you will get close to those BLP-s.

Has anyone ever had any issues with this?

I see none at the moment, because the 100k people could otherwise just "zzapp!" small sites with backlink overload and voila.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

I think it would help to an extent. Not every single link is going to boost your site, especially because they are all from the same domain.

I think you are fine with doing this though. I would also like to see your results if you post it in the future

Its not a thing you should be worried about, getting links is a natural phenomena as google says. If you are getting hundred links from your related NICHE at once its not going to affect you negatively as google will not find all the hundred links at once since it is not sure that googlebot will crawl those sites at the same day. It may crawl 10 sites in a day them another 2 after 2 days then another 5 after 1 day and so on. Also the last time google crawled the sites is not the same for all the hundred sites, there may be some gap among the sites.

The only thing to be noticed is: are all the hundred sites have also a good reputation in google or not. If all of them do not belong to some link farm then you are going to get some benefit for sure.
