Make a good post and make sure whatever link you try to leave isn't offensive because website traffic is very important for any online business. You should submit your website to google, dmoz, and yahoo, this takes around 1-2 months to crawl and get listed in moderate keywords. Do this right and you can get PR in no time.

Post DoFollow Comments On My Blog (Read Below First)

I starting building a website a while back and left it stagnant for a while, meanwhile working on my paid projects. Recently started the project again and found that I had PR1 and PR2 pages throughout the site.

Because of my own searching and spending hours upon hours looking for Dofollow blogs, I think I can relate to many of you stumbling upon this thread.

I am sure the guy who originated this question may or may not need this :-

To increase the PR, only following works :

1) Home Page Links : For one of my client I bought PR9 home page link and made PR7 within 3 months from PR4. Niche relevancy is important but for PR increment, I do not think this is needed.

2) Blog comments from PR5- PR6 sites ...not the site actually but the Actual PR page should have PR5-6 and dofollow backlinks.

I do this for my sites and it works. IN my opinion PR is not important, the important is to see your site on Google Page 1 and hence the traffic.

Yep, I do agree that quality backlinks work. You should also update your site regularly. I didn't mean daily, but if you can pull it off, why not? Just have a schedule when you're going to update your blog. About the PR, it updates only after a few months, so don't expect your link building efforts to bear fruit in an instant.

I work in SEO. To raise PR Google appreciates on many dimensions. I think you make misunderstanding between PR and ranking. You mistaken when you look for forums to post ads. You should submit article to Ezinearticle, Goarticle, Articlebase... It is better.

PR flows from other pages with PR through to external/internatl links from the originating page. Some PR gets lost along the way, some can be degraded if there are too many links on the original page.
The best way to build PR is to have other high PR pages linking to your page(s)
